My Camino Journey
¨When you desire something with all your heart, the whole universe conspires to help¨ -Paulo Coelho
Today was fun. A little extra walking…about six kilometers. After leaving the town I stayed in last night there was a place where you could choose different paths. One was right by a freeway and the other more rural. I wanted to walk the quieter way but as I came to the roundabout the markings weren’t very clear. My book made it look like the right way so the girl I was walking with and myself started out. A German man came along the same way as well as another girl. He was pretty sure we were going the right way so we continued. Turns out it was way off. However halfway along the road we found an amazing patch of blackberries which was quite delightful. So what I thought wouldn’t be too long ended up as another 20k day. Once we arrived and got settled we went to find the bar. So we asked directions from an elderly man who started giving lots of extra information…turns out he runs a museum of phones. He had an extraordinary collection of books as well from about 1800 and on forward. Wish my Spanish was good enough to read a bit more of them. I am trying to improve my Spanish. 🙂
