Beautiful day

The albergue I stayed in last night was quite basic but good. There was only electricity for about 30 minutes in the evening while the generator was on but the place had hot water! Tonight I decided to stay in the bigger town as I really needed a pharmacy because I was running out of supplies to bandage my heal. Most of the smaller villages only have a basic market and bar. So now that I have washed myself, my clothes, and had a bite to eat I am ready for a siesta. Not sure I will be able to sleep as there is a retarded rooster out back! Half of his cock crow sounds normal but quickly sounds as if he is dying! Also might ditch the Spanish phone number all together and just use WiFi to update here when possible. Refilling the account is a bit of a pain since the company only accepts Spanish credit cards which means I need to refill in large towns with the actual locations where I can pay cash. So if posts come slower in the future that is why.

We check in every morning to read about your latest adventures. Too bad about the wifi situation, but it’s been amazing to be able to stay up to date with you as long as we have. Thanks for letting us know. Pray your leg and heel are better…

I will do my best to keep the daily updates…sometimes I may write and upload later. Thanks for the prayer. My heel isn’t playing nice so I am resigned to just bandage it each morning and wait till I get home for it to heal. It opened right on the graft area and there is too much ongoing friction. It’s also nice to get the comments from home as it makes me feel connected still. Love you all.

My pedometer says I have walked 302k (189miles) , from where I am today the guide book says 434k left to go. So almost to the halfway point. Can you believe it? I can’t LOL. Love you!
