Burgos

Best day so far!  So I started the day with about 14k of walking.  At first I decided to stay in the town I was ending in but only had a few euros on me.  Most small villages don’t have automatic teller machines so I only had enough for the lodging for the evening and maybe a little food.  But I also knew the next day I would have quite a hard time as the topography of the map showed several severe inclines and revenged without much in between.  I know what a toll it takes trying to attempt this so I decided to get a bus to Burgos.

This was the best decision I could have made all around.  Not only did it save me much physical distress but when I arrived in Burgos at the albergue I immediately started seeing people that I had made friends with earlier in the week.   This really made for a fun afternoon hanging out.  Then in the evening a group of five of us went out to eat.  We had tapas, wine, and sangria. As the evening was coming to a close we were thinking it was going to be quite expensive since we really had quite a bit.  It turned out that we each ended up owing 10€, which is the same cost as a basic pilgrims dinner at most places.  Although this was way better.  F U — N!!!!

Tomorrow I think I will stay one more day here as there is a quite amazing cathedral I want to visit and a few more tourist type things.  Although I will miss the walking it is a nice change of pace.
