My Camino Journey
¨When you desire something with all your heart, the whole universe conspires to help¨ -Paulo Coelho
Today was really amazing. I got up at 4:30am and was on the road by 5:30. I really wanted to do a night walk but it was freezing cold so me and another girl decided to just get up early and walk under the moonlight. It was a full moon so there was enough light to see the path. It was awesome because we made it to the next village just before the sun came up. It was absolutely one of the best sunrises I have ever seen. We continued walking the rest of the day. I did 30 kilometers today…never did I think I could that much before. Even though there were lots of hills it was physically my best day ever. I had virtually zero swelling which is a miracle. The lady I walked with is a doctor from Duke and specializes in lymphatic system. She treated my leg the night before and it was amazing the difference. I am virtually in shock that I did what I did today and wasn’t hurting and crippled up at the end of the day. Everyone I talked with said it was a hard day walking. My feet were very tired but my spirit stills feels like its a dream. The days I walked 25k were too much before. This was a whole new experience. It was also a bit different because usually I meet people but they move ahead within a day or so and I never see them again. For the last few days I have seen the same people and it was awesome! The day would have been perfect except I got bedbugs from the albergue I stayed at the night before. Apparently it has been a huge problem this year. Guess I have been lucky so far. So tonight after walking I had to put everything into a trash bag and fumigate it. Then wash all my clothes. Tomorrow I will have to put all my stuff out in the sun for a few hours before I start walking to make sure I am rid of them. A bit of a pain but mostly I am sad I can’t start walking and continue till a bit later in the day. Hopefully that will be the last of them.

Awesome!! Will you be able to do those treatments yourself? It’d be so cool to be able to continue using your leg pain free. Now that you mention lymph, those rebounders are supposed to pump your lymph throughout your body(Sorry about the bedbugs – have heard they’re in 5 star hotels too) Sure hope you can rid of them. Thanks for posting. Love you!
Yes, she gave me a full treatment last night and showed me exactly how to do it. I am definately going to continue because there is a marked difference.
you are wonder woman….keep it going …you’ll make it, I know it!!!
Take care of that leg, glad that women gave you so much info….

Thank you! She really helped make my journey easier. Much love to you and Paul!! Oh..when in November are you going to be in Spain? I am considering extending my stay.
Great job, Liza–I’m so happy for you!
