My Camino Journey
¨When you desire something with all your heart, the whole universe conspires to help¨ -Paulo Coelho
Yesterday I had a pretty decent amount of swelling and a spot on my heal opened up. So, since Estella is a bigger town I decided to stay here for two nights. At first I was a bit upset to have to slow down so soon after starting. I think a big factor in swelling is the heat. However there is a festival starting so I get a bonus during my down time. I awoke this morning to a bustle of activity.
Yesterday I got a new sim card so I should now have better internet access, except in the more rural areas. So today I am going to do a load of laundry and a little shopping at the pharmacy for another ace bandage. It seems a compression sock may not be enough. Also going to grab some fresh insole liners! LOL. Then maybe a little shopping at the vendors in the square as I will have a few hours before the post office closes. I can’t add more weigh to what I am carrying so this is perfect timing!

Well I managed to mail off more weight! More and more I am going minimalist. I did pick up a walking stick as I noticed I am putting too much strain on my right hip. I think it will make a big difference, specially going up hills. I also splurged and brought my clothes to be washed.
I am looking forward to the festivities this evening. This should be a blast. Although I doubt I will get much sleep as it is insanely loud with the influx of people. But, I am totally cool with that because I had the best night sleep last night.
At 2pm pretty much everything shuts down everywhere for siestas. So the plaza I am staying above that earlier was full of clothing vendors is now being set up for something that looks like a wicked party. I am guessing by the large booth with many kegs next to it. I think it may get a bit “festive” by the way are shops boarding up their windows like a hurricane is coming through!
The picture below was a mural on the entrance wall to a pharmacy I was walking by.
This one is a mosaic in a bar. For those that don’t know, the bars here are combination coffee shop, snacks, and drinks. They are the social centers of the towns.
